Ways to Support our Ministry

Mentoring Families

Help an African family learn basic life skills necessary to best assimilate into the United States.  No expertise needed- just a willing heart to spend time encouraging others.  GOH will provide an orientation and training material to help you make the most of your time investment with your African family.  While each family is different, every family could use an American friend to encourage them and help them transition to life here in Ky.

Tutoring Children and Young Adults

We are seeking Christ-centered volunteers ages 13 and up who can read along with the children, and assist with homework for grades K-12. A teaching degree is not required to be an effective tutor.   However, we encourage retired & current educators to come alongside Gate of Hope in this critical area of ministry.  Time commitments begin with as little as 2 hours a month during the Saturday tutoring lab. For those with more time available, tutoring a specific child or children can be scheduled on a regular basis.

Deliver Produce from the Hope Community Farm to Supporters

We are looking for someone willing to pick up bags of produce from Hope Community Farm and deliver to CSA shareholders in the Prospect area.  The frequency will be once a week or monthly from May to September.

Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a marketing specialist to assist in print, online, and event planning.
