Kathy Siegfried Wilson, Gate of Hope board member involved with farm operations, shares about a resurgence occurring in the west end of Louisville as E. African refugees are doing what they know and love best — growing healthy and nourishing vegetables for their families and surrounding community. It is making healthy produce available to the Shively area which had been a food desert with few grocery stores in the vicinity. The Lord made a way to irrigate the 19 acres of land through a solar powered water pump — just in time for the current heat wave!
