GOSHENI BUYERS CLUB
Your Source for Fresh Produce Grown Without Harmful Chemicals or Pesticides
Season runs 22 weeks, June through November
Purchased monthly (4 weeks) or upfront for the entire 22 weeks
The Gosheni buyers club is an opportunity for community members to purchase vegetables in advance in the form of shares. Each share is an approximately $35 value, enough to feed 3-4 people. This model allows the refugee growers to receive a fair market price for their produce while increasing food access in the 40216 zip code area, home to the Gosheni farm, that is presently known as a food desert region. Patrons who can pay a little more to support food access in 40216, are invited to contribute an additional amount to their monthly share to help those from the region who cannot afford a share.
Participating members receive freshly harvested produce each week for 22 weeks from June through November. Weekly produce bags may be picked up on Fridays between 12 and 3 PM at the Gosheni farm stand located at 3309 Lees Ln, Shively, KY 40216
Members have the option to make monthly installments or pay upfront for the entire season.
Payments for shares are made online, by check. Checks should be made out to Gate of Hope Gosheni, P.O Box 6481, Louisville, KY 40206. Please write Buyers Club in the memo line.
Once the season starts, you will be required to make your weekly payment online by Wednesday midnight each week and you will confirm by entering your PIN once you pick up the weekly bag of freshly harvested, organically grown vegetables.
Misfits share options, which are the same organically grown veggies that happen to be a little smaller, misshapen and/or slightly blemished, but perfectly good to eat are available. To request a misfit share, please email [email protected] to check availability. Only 4 misfit shares are available each season and they are offered on a first come, first served basis.
