Reflecting on 2024 and Embracing New Goals for 2025
As the year drew to a close, the Gate of Hope team gathered to reflect on our journey throughout 2024 and to chart a course for the exciting possibilities that lie ahead in 2025. It was a time of gratitude, celebration, and vision-setting—an opportunity to pause and recognize the incredible ways in which our mission has grown and evolved.
In our discussions, we celebrated what went well in 2024. This past year, we witnessed God’s faithfulness in every step of our journey. Through His provision, we were able to expand our programs, strengthen our partnerships, and positively impact the lives of those we serve. Financial blessings, community support, and the dedication of our staff and volunteers have all played a crucial role in our success. We are deeply thankful for the growth we’ve experienced and the lives that have been touched by our work.
Looking forward to 2025, we’ve set ambitious goals that reflect our commitment to serving refugees and creating a thriving, supportive community. One of our key priorities is to increase the number of public schools we collaborate with, ensuring that more East African girls are empowered, have access to resources and support they need to succeed.
Another exciting goal for 2025 is the expansion of Gosheni Farm. This past year, the farm has been a source of nourishment and sustainability for many. In the year ahead, we plan to increase and diversify the vegetables we grow, creating greater food security and providing more opportunities for our community to connect with the land and each other.
We’re also thrilled to announce plans to expand our women’s support program. By adding three new locations, we aim to reach even more women, providing them with the tools, encouragement, and resources they need to thrive. These programs are a testament to the resilience and strength of the women in our community, and we’re honored to walk alongside them in their journeys.
As we prepare for the year ahead, our hearts are filled with anticipation and hope. We’re praying that 2025 will be a year of abundance, new friendships, and meaningful partnerships. With faith as our foundation and a shared commitment to our mission, we’re ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
